I am receiving an error that reads something like "Process id=0x508 (1288), Thread id=0x80 (128)", what is wrong?

You need to install the 7.3 API. You can download it here.

I am able to connect but when I request instrument data, no quote information is displayed, what is wrong?

Start the Instrument Manager from the Tools menu of the Control Center Window. Check the expiration date for all instruments and make sure you are not requesting data for an expired contract. Also double check to make sure all of the other instrument's parameters are correct.

In TWS, make sure you have Configure==>API==>Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients checked. When you press "Connect" in NinjaTrader, make sure the "Accept Incoming Connection" box from TWS is not hidden behind other windows. You ALT-TAB to cycle through all active Windows on your desktop.

I am using Windows 98 and I can't seem to press the YES button in the "Accept Incoming Connection" dialogue box, what am I doing wrong?

When the "Accept Incoming Connection" box appears, highlight the window and press "Enter" instead of clicking on the YES button.

How come my orders do not get processed sometimes on the demo server?

The IB demo server is in some regard useless. STOP orders are generally not processed and data flow is sporadic and inconsistent.

Why do I occasionally see incorrect fill reports for DTB exchange traded instruments?

This is a TWS API bug. For MARKET orders and LIMIT orders, the initial execution reports are often incorrect. NinjaTrader attempts to correct this but in the event that a correction can not be made, NinjaTrader will substitute the ASK price  when buying (BID when selling) at the time of your execution for your fill price. You can manually correct your fill price by clicking on the ENTRY label in the main window quotes and position section.
