NT 8 and multi-monitor set up: problems with RDC

When using Remote Desktop with NT 8 you can not access NT windows that are not in the main monitor. NT 8 charts and the Playback window for example does not behave like other Windows applications.

We need to make the charts and all NT 8 windows to behave like any other Windows 10 windows. Alternatively, it would be nice to have a Window tab to manage the open windows (cascade, minimize all, organize all, etc.).

It's very frustrating to work with NT 8 over RDC if you are logging into a multi-monitor set up.

Am I missing something? is there a way to bring all NT 8 windows into the main desktop at least? If not, I would love if you could add this feature to the enhancements.

Thanks for the suggestion. Those were the first things I tried as I'm used to work remotely from my trading computer.

The NT 8 windows (including the Playback window) don't respond to ALT-space + MOVE. So, you are stuck. I believe on NT 7 you could to that, so more likely it is a bug that needs to be fixed. All NT 8 windows should respond to 'regular' windows management capabilities. I don't understand why try to create another paradigm, just makes things more complicated and creates problems like this.

If tech support does not reply to this message with a solution, I suggest as an improvement for the next update (I mean that at least all NT 8 windows should respond to ALT-Space/Move).

Try this in the meantime: ALT TAB to bring the replay window into focus, and then used "WINDOWS+CURSOR LEFT" to move it to different monitor. (will take a couple presses)

Thanks for posting.

I am seeing the same on my end, that ALT+Space does work on NinjaTrader 7 but not in NinjaTrader 8. However, other Windows commands to move windows do work as expected. An alternate method would be to hold ALT on your Keyborad while right-clicking the desired window to move on the Task Bar. Subsequently select "Move" to use the move command.

I will gather some further information on this topic to see what would be expected in this case.

I am seeing that this is a limitation of the current coding implemented. Were you able to use the alternate steps to find your missing windows?
