Live Account Synchronization/Updates

Hello,


I just added funds to my live account and I would like to see that update in NT. Is it necessary to relaunch NT8 in order for it to update my funds?

This is important to me because my strategy/indicators cannot be disabled while running--they will lose all the real time data that took days to collect. It seems like NT8 should know how to refresh the live account balance, if not periodically then at least when opening or closing a live position since the software needs to ask my account how much is available to trade and what the new account balance is once I close a position. If that is not the case, I would consider that a bug wherein NT8 is essentially creating an alternate (internal) account for clients that is not in sync with the client's brokerage account.

Hello jflaggs, thank you for posting up.

To update the Cash value column in the Accounts tab of the Control Center, you must place an order to the live account. The order doesn't have to fill and can be a limit or stop order.
