Fixed scale charts, but retain auto-centring

Hi,

I would like my charts to be fixed scale, but I would also like them to continue to move as price develops. Is this possible?

The reason for this is because as it is, I have to either accept that sometimes all the data on the chart gets squished and the chart moves itself, or I manually change the scale, but then have to re centre the chart myself as price moves. Neither is ideal.

I would like fixed scale, with scrolling up and down as the current price reaches the top/bottom of the screen. Preferably with an optional top and bottom margin. If not possible, please consider this a feature request.

Unfortunately this is not supported. A chart can only have one or the other - fixed or automatic scaling. I will forward the suggestion to support a combination of the two to development to put it on the list of possible future enhancements.

Hi Jason, and thank you psmith,

please add my vote here. I also find it highly desirable to scale my chart manually such that the grid lines are a certain distance apart on my screen and keep it that way. This way I have a better sense for the size of a price movement. It's just the auto-scrolling up and down that is missing, while keeping the scale constant.

I am looking forward to the day when the development team will be able to exit "bug fix mode" and enter "feature mode".

Please add me as a vote for this feature! Would absolutely love to have this. Also, could this possibly be done programmatically? I.E. use an indicator or strategy that resizes the chart Y-axis scale by a specified range (i.e. +/- 10 points) instead of a maximum and minimum price?

Saw your reply to this. For info, and I have no connection with this co other than being a very happy paying client, Discotrading have a _free_ indicator called "dtfixed scale" which does just this and works perfectly. Obviously, many people have seen the need, just not Ninjatrader Google them and you should find it.
