eSignal Market Replay

Hello everyone,

Could someone please explain whether or not Ninja Trader can integreate with eSignals market replay feature? Could I effectively get any data I wanted to with eSignal and then simulate my trading through Ninja Trader?

Additionally, can you clarify what you mean by the eSignal market replay? Are you referring to the playback feature within eSignal and then use the recorded data to trade in simulation using NinjaTrader with that recorded data.

Yes that is what I mean, is it possible to use the playback feature of eSignal and bring that data into Ninja Trader so that I can simulate a market replay with any data that I want.

Unfortunately you can not use eSignal's playback feature within NinjaTrader. However, if you create an account connection to eSignal as I suggested earlier you can then use NinjaTrader's market replay feature to accomplish the same thing. Please see the following link for more information.

I am trying to achieve the same thing. For stocks, I'd like to subscribe to esignal to get tick data but I'd like to be able to do a market replay and practice trading in Ninjatrader. Can this be done?

You could record real-time chart data for use with market replay.

• Control Center > Tools > Options > Data tab
• Enable 'Record for market replay'

As long as you are connected to real-time data and it is streaming into NinjaTrader (in a chart, for example) it will be recorded for use with the market replay connection.

I can't record real time data because I am away from the PC during work hours. I want to be use eSignal Tick data for market replays. Is that achievable?

Alternatively, If there was a way to Open Charts using Alerts and scripts then I could record the data that way.

It is not possible to use Esignal's replay feature in NinjaTrader 7. This would also not be possible with custom programming.
