    GlobalVariable Dll

I have an indicator that uses the old end-user created-for-TradeStation dll 'GlobalBariable.dll'.

I've recently switched to NinjaTrader 7 64 bit. Everything is working correctly except this one indicator where I use the GlobalVariable.dll.

I'm guessing the 64 bit is causing it problems. Anyone know if this might be the case?

    regards,

    Hello Taddypole,

    Thank you for the post.

I wanted to check, is 'GlobalBariable.dll' something that comes with TradeStation or is this a dll you had developed or downloaded? If this comes with TradeStation it likely can not be used, otherwise if it was developed by you or another party for general use in any application it may be able to be used.

The architecture could play a role I.E: 32bit vs 64bit, you could try using the 32bit platform and see if it is able to load. Otherwise if this file was made for TradeStation specifically there is a good chance it could not be used with NinjaTrader in the case it requires anything from TradeStation.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

This was a TradeStation client created dll which made its way to NinjaTrader some years ago. I've been using it for years with NinjaTrader 7 32 bit. But recently some 3rd party software that I use moved to NT7 64 bit. Everything works except this one indicator I created using the GlobalVariable.dll.

I'm guessing it's 32 bit based but didn't know for sure and was wondering if anyone out there knew and if so, is there a solution.

        Hello,

        Thank you for the reply.

In this case it sounds like the dll was made specifically for 32 bit, you would either need to re compile from source code as a 64bit dll, or use the 32bit of the platform.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
