SMA on high of candles also low of candles

It appears that the SMA indicator can only be calculated on: (1) bar close (2) each tick, (3) price.
I would like to create an SMA based upon the high of each bar.
I would also like to create an SMA consisting of the low of each bar.

Any advice would be appreciated. I am new to NinjaTrader 8.

Sorry, I saw a previous post that addressed the same issue.

    Hello goodknight777,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums!

You mentioned the calculation modes and this is more a matter of "when" the indicator would be calculated not the price type that it is using.

By default all indicators will point to the "Close" value of the bar for their calculations. You can easily change that to select the High, Low, Open, Close, Median, Typical or weighted price types of the bar.

In the indicator panel, in the properties of the SMA locate the "Input Series" and left click on the selection (it will say edit input), left click to open the "Input series window. On the right side for price type left click the drop down and choose your prefered price type., click ok and click ok.

Here is a link to the helpguide that will clarify: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...indicators.htm - review the section, "How to edit an indicator's parameters"
