    Update to 8.0.3.1 - "Unable to locate or copy commision templates"

    Hi,

    just updated to the latest version and now getting "Unable to locate or copy commision templates"-Error msg. Platform does not start after "okay" click.

    How can I fix this?

    Thank you for your post,

    I suggest repairing the database, please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database.

    Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
    From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Database
    Press "Repair DB"
    Press the "Repair" button

    Let me know if you see the same after taking these steps.

      you might also want to check task manager to see if an instance of ninjatrader is still silently running. If so, you can end task then try running ninja again as you normally would.

        having the same issue, as stated in the OP, platform does not start. How do we repair the database without starting the platform?

        Also, rebooted computer after install (should shut down any silently running instances). Problem persists.

          I suggest running a repair of the installation. To do this, go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Right click on NinjaTrader 8 > Repair.

            Sorry, the machine is actively used for trading, so I uninstalled and installed version 8.0.2.0.

            Maybe I'll give it a try over the weekend.

              "My observation is that 8.0.3.0 installs differently than prior versions. If 8.0.3.0 is installed to a path location other than the default (other than C:\Program Files (x86) \NinjaTrader 8\), and there is a prior NT8 version installed there, then the commission template error will be encountered on 8.0.3.0 startup, and an uninstall, reboot, and reinstall will be required.

              After uninstalling 8.0.3.0, rebooting, and reinstalling (to the same path location), NT8 8.0.3.0 started normally and connected to data without any error messages. (tested on two PCs)"

              This is probably the case with 8.0.3.1 as well.
