Custom Broker/Platform Integration...

...in correspondence to another thread I posted about our plans I'm wondering if it is possible to tie into the NT8 and write the code necessary to add a broker or platform that uses the NT8 Order classes.

There are a few ways this could be handled outside of the NT8 Order objects but it would be great to tie into them to have access to all of the other reporting NT8 provides.

For example if we were trading equities through a broker or even another platform, we have the capacity to either bridge NT8 over to our brokers platform (less efficient way but could work) via our equity brokers platform API. In doing this we would simply replace things like the managed order EnterLong with some code that would submit this information to the other platform (or to our broker directly). The problem is that we then have to handle and manage orders ourself outside of the NT8 model.

It would be great to be able to write our own broker adapter that would utilize the rest of the NT8 framework. Is this a possibility?

Hi Chelsea (or whomever replies to me on this 2+ year old topic), I'm in need of a programmer to help me integrate NT8 with Fidelity Active Trader Pro. Could business development follow up with a list of who could do that? I looked through the marketplace, but everyone seems to mostly advertise strategies. Thanks!
