Equivolume Bars space between bars NT8

Hello everyone!!

I just imported the EquiVolume code from NinjaTrader_DaveI, and I'm trying to figure out how can I insert some kind of space between bars, because in "large size bars" it's getting wrapped.



I've tried to change BarWidth but no luck, it increase every bar and wraps anyway.

Are you wanting a different amount of space between all the bars, or are you attempting to adjust the overall bar spacing for all bars programmatically?

That I know of, neither is possible with a script, but I am happy to submit a feature request if you would like.

When equidistant bar spacing is disabled (as it is in your screenshot) the center of the bar will be placed at the corresponding time. This can cause large spaces or overlapping.

Can you upload your workspace with your next post so I can test this on my end?

The workspace is located in
Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces

You may need to add the .xml workspace file to .zip compressed folder to upload this to the forum.
(Right-click the file -> select Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder)

The workspace will have the name that you have saved it with.

Currently, you have posted the _Workspaces.xml file which lets NinjaTrader know which workspace was open when it was shutdown. However, this is not the actual workspace.

The workspace is located in
Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces\<your workspace name here>.xml

Other alternative chart style

I made this one a couple of years ago but IMHO it is a better implementation of the Equivolume bars. I haven't looked over the code recently, and it's my early work..... so accept as it is. It will not be exactly what you want as the bars still need a set distance between them. Anyway, thought it might help.
