    Strategy does not stay "enabled"

    Hi all.

    I routinely follow four futures markets. But I don't want to just sit in front of the monitor if there is no action.

    So I programmed four "alerts", using the NinjaScript Strategy wizard. When some simple conditions are met, it issues an audible alert. This part works well.

    Except that it does not work all the time: when I first startup in the morning, I have to set the General/Enabled parameter to "True". Then I move to a different workspace that has ChartTrader enabled and where I do the actual trading.

    The problem is that every once in a while, in an apparently totally random way, the General/Enabled parm turns to "False"! Sometimes after just a few minutes, sometimes not at all for several hours. Sometimes for alert No. 1, but sometimes for alert No. 2 or 3 or 4...

    I have been unable to find a pattern.

    Any idea what could be doing this???

    Thank you for the post.

    I wanted to check, are you seeing any errors in the control center log tab or NinjaScript output window when this happens?

    Another item you could test would be to use the SampleMACrossOver and complete the same steps in switching workspaces to see if you have the same result with other strategies.

      Funny you should ask... As a matter of fact, I do!

      This morning: I've been taking positions in CL. And after about one hour and a half, I notice that my "MyAlertCL" is Disabled. (The other three alerts are all still enabled.)

      Upon checking the log, I see several identical messages, at various times, in Category "Strategy". The message is "Disabled strategy="MyAlertCL/7b46...."!

      Any idea what causes this?

        Hello,

        Thank you for the details.

        This much of the log wouldn't be enough to say what may have occurred, there are likely some additional lines near where you found this with more details on the last events before the strategy was disabled.

        It would probably be easier if you email our platform support[at]ninjatrader.com and include your log and trace files so we could review if there are errors occurring. You can email us right from the platform using the Help -> Mail to Platform support option. Please include a link to this post in the box and also ensure "Log and trace" are checked when sending it.
