Curious: what is the exact (!) symbol name you see in IB/TWS?

You enter "RUT" > than select Futures Sept.08 > Select "NYBOT" and you have a choice between a 100 and a 500 multiplier . The 100 is TFU8 .All you
see on the TWS is RUT though .

Let's try this:
- make sure you are on latest 6.5.1000.5
- Tools->Options->Misc-Reset instruments
- Tools->Instrument manager-> edit instrument TF. Set IB mapping to RUT
- restart NT and connect

Should be working

I have a pending support request with IB to figure out correct mapping. RUT likely is not the right one...

You also may consult IB trading desk to see what info they come up with.

OK , I contacted IB and double verified that " RUT " is the correct symbol for
ER2 replacement . ICE apparently owns the NYBOT . As you can see from the
screen shot , you enter the ticker RUT and then choose between the 100 and
500 multiplier . 100 being the mini . On your end , routing IB/RUT mapping,
you try to open a chart using TF 09-08 and you just get the Error I reported
above .(post#5) It seems like this should work ,but it's not ???

Default Instrument Settings for TF?

Just updated to NT 6.5.1000.6, which should support TF with Interactive Brokers according to release notes. Couldn't find TF, so I tried to set it up manually. Now getting an IB error message "No definition has been found for the request(200)".

TWS shows TF, as I subscribed to NYBOT/ICE. Other Nybot futures like SB or CT are fine with both TWS and NT. Index ^RUT also is shown correctly by NT.

These are my instrument settings for TF: Tick Size 0.1, Point Value 100, Rollover Period 3, Exchanges NYBOT, IB Symbol TF.

Default Chart problem relates to bad data from IB

Hello T2020,

your chart problem comes from IB. They have bad data. If you look at the TF chart of TWS, it is exactly the same, so NT just displays what it gets from TWS => garbage in - garbage out.

I already opened a ticket with IB because of their bad data. If you want to do me a favour open another ticket, otherwise they will tell my that I am the only one who complains.....

Did you proceed exactly (!) as advised: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/Announcement1.htm

Please
- remove any TF instrument from your list of master instruments (Tools->Instrument manager)
- check on Help->About that you are on latest 6.5.1000.6
- Tools->Options->Misc->Reset instruments
- restart NT
- add TF 12-08 to Default list

-> will work then

Default Reset instruments deletes my other instruments

I am afraid that a reset of instruments deletes my other instruments that I have entered manually...

How so? It only resets the default NT instruments to correct settings. the message box poping up is very explicit: "User added instruments will not be affected".

Please proceed as per our guidelines to avoid further confusion.

Default TF shows up after resetting instruments

Thank you, resetting instruments does the job. The problem was just the funny RUT║100 symbol, which is used for TF. Now waiting for IB to solve the data problem.
