Transferring Instruments Data Base from PCs

Hi,

I have loaded many new instruments to NT.
I want to know what is the best way if I install NT on a new PC to transfer all the instruments with there settings?
Does the backup procedure can backup the instruments DB?

Hello Roy,

Yes, you can transfer instruments using a backup file that includes the database.
Please create a backup file as per the instructions at the link below.

Once NinjaTrader created a backup file, it is located at (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader Backup as .ntbk file.

Copy this file to the other computer at the exact same location.

Start NinjaTrader and restore your backup file.

Jason do you mean the option: Database(Historical trade data)?
This will transfer also all the added instruments?

Yes, the database contains all custom created instruments. So if you like to transfer these instruments, you will need to create a backup file that includes the database.
