Default 1 Indicator bigger than the Other by some value

In condition builder of the strategy setup, how do I specify 1 indicator to be bigger by a specific value than the other at crossabove?

Example:

EMA to crossabove SMA, and at this state to enter long only when EMA value gets bigger than SMA value by 1.75

Thank you

Hello,

Thanks for the note.

http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...on_builder.htm

To do this you would use an offset and review the instruction How to offset an item value section.

On the SMA you would use an offset tick mode and put in 7 ticks if this is the ES for example.

Default Still Not Working

Thank you for your reply, but I still cannot get it to work. I tried everything that I can think of with the offset option and it does not give me what I'm looking for. The instructions are very vague and don't offer more detailed explanations.

At the crossabove, if EMA value is 2770.90 and SMA value is 2770.70, that is a difference of 0.2. In order to prevent any premature entries, I need to tell Ninja not to enter me until this difference is 1.7 or more.

How do I accomplish this?

Hello,

No problem I went through and set it up I see hwhere you are running into issue. CrossAbove and CrossBelow you cannot use with an offset in the strategy wizard. You would need to do this with the >= condition to allow the offset. Please see this screenshot.
