    UnHandled exception

    Very often I get the following error message :

    Unhandled exception : The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

    What all this means ?

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    Please send your log and trace files to platformsupport [AT] ninjatrader [DOT] com with a link to this thread and my name referenced so I can investigate further into this.

    You will find the log files on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Log folder.

    The log files will be named "log.20151006.xxxxx.txt" (where the Xs are additional trailing numerical digits)

    You will find the trace files on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Trace folder.

    The trace files will be named "trace.20151006.xxxxx.txt" (where the Xs are additional trailing numerical digits)

      Have you received my email because now I see this message error constantly. I have to shut down NT 8 and reopen it to be able to do some work ...

        Yes, I have received your email and have replied to it that I could not find the errors in the log and trace files you have provided.

        Please ensure to attach all instances of both your log and trace files for October 6th, 2015.

        Example: log.20151006.00000, log.20151006.00001, log.20151006.00002, etc...

              Hello blar58,

              Please shut down NinjaTrader and temporarily disable any anti-virus/security and/or backup software that you may be running on your computer.

              Start up NinjaTrader and see if you experience the same. If you no longer experience the issue, ensure that the (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8 folder is added to the exception list for the software mentioned above.

                Just to let you know that it seems to have solved the problem. I have deactivated AVG virus software.

                Now I have to change the settings in AVG ?
                What kind of changes do I have to do ?

                  Hello blar58,

                  You'll want to ensure that the (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8 folder is added to AVG's exception list.
