    executed price on chart is 100 ticks away from brokers price

    Hi,

    I am using NT8 second release 8.0.0.14 64-bit.
    I am connected to kinetick and interactive brokers.
    I trade the spy and trade one share.

    When I execute a trade the chart trader shows my entry price 100 ticks away from
    what interactive brokers shows as its execution price.

    I know IB is the true price, however how do I get the postion entry price line in the chart
    of NT8 to that of IB's execution price.

    I basically have the same setup your using (NT8-Kinetick-IB Gateway). I would try running the strategy from the chart itself.

      I am a price action trader so I enter my trades manually from the chart.
      There is no automated trading strategy.

        Please answer the following questions, so that I may test this on my end.

        What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

        (For a chart) what interval is selected?

        Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report? A row highlighted in yellow is an error message reporting.

        What build of Trader Workstation are you running? You may check this by navigating to TWS -> Help > About Trader Workstation. An example would be Build 954.

          Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report? A row highlighted in yellow is an error message reporting.


          The error is on the chart. The chart trader position entry price line is off by 100 ticks from the entry price (100 ticks down if I sold and 100 ticks above if I buy).

          Today, I sold one share of the SPY. I got an interactive broker execution price of 216.58
          The NT8 Control Center Orders Tab and Execution Tab both say the price was executed at 216.58
          The Log tab has no yellow lines and shows the correct price execution at 216.58

          The Chart of the SPY ETF had the postion execution price at 215.58
          This is where the error is. Its on the chart.




          What build of Trader Workstation are you running? You may check this by navigating to TWS -> Help > About Trader Workstation. An example would be Build 954.


          This error happens with the oct release of the TWS
          However I am using this version

            Hello steetffightingman, thank you for posting back!

            I wasn't able to reproduce what you were experiencing, however, I did notice that you're running a newer build of TWS and the newer build is currently not supported for NinjaTrader 8.

            As a troubleshooter, please downgrade your TWS build to the compatible build that NinjaTrader 8 supports. To do so, please see the help guide below which provides the supported build.



            Please reply to this thread, if you continue to experience the same.

                    I am having the same problem with NT 7 most recent version.
                    I have the problem with the live and simulated Interactive Brokers account

                      streetffightingman, thanks for posting back and for providing much information.

                      I am currently working on this with our Quality Assurance team and will have an update for you as soon as I'm done testing what you are experiencing.

                      Additionally, I had our team lead, Patrick, remove any additional security related information from your forum posts. When submitting orders diagnostics, try and remove the order numbers and the account numbers which you did, but I spotted a few other items that needed to be removed.
