    Workspace takes forever to load

    I've been away for a few years and recently got back in with version 8.

    After installation yesterday, the default workspace opened up in less than a second. Everything looked good just as I remembered.

    Last night I created a workspace with 6 charts, 1 DOM, and 1 Market Analyzer. This workspace is nothing but trouble taking forever to load. I mean like 10 minutes on a 1 year old Asus gaming laptop. This laptop spec wise is better than my 2012 workstation that ran Ninjatrader with multiple chart windows with no problems. I even ran NeuroShell, Amibroker and wave59 all at once on that old workstation. No problems at all.

    So, where do I go to report this? Anybody else seeing this?

    How to open no workspace

    Here's another item. With this problem, I'm caught in an endless loop. I open NTv8 from the recently added icon in Windows 10. The default now is this workspace which never loads. How do I open NT without a workspace or choose a workspace prior to NT loading? Also, it has been 30 minutes since clicking on the icon, and the workspace is frozen. Can't even click on the control center.

      Windows outside

      I may have a solution. Upon opening NT I was prompted with a pop-up regarding windows outside of view area or something like that. I responded "No" and that at least let me have control of the multiple windows and start closing charts. I've saved a workspace with 4 charts and that seems to be OK.

        You can open NinjaTrader 8 in safe mode to prevent your workspace from loading.

        Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:

        Loading workspaces.
        Connecting on start-up.
        Loading custom assemblies.
        Getting instrument updates from the server.
        To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:

        Exit NinjaTrader.
        Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
        Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
        You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.

        I would need your log and trace files to further investigate what is occurring specifically.
