I am looking to create a basis stochastic strategy that sells when the stochastic crosses above 80 and buys when it crosses below 20, having some trouble creating this in the wizard, could anyone share some help or pointers, thanks

stochastic cross strategy
Hi,
I am looking to create a basis stochastic strategy that sells when the stochastic crosses above 80 and buys when it crosses below 20, having some trouble creating this in the wizard, could anyone share some help or pointers, thanks -
Hello dannypark100,
The Stochastics has two plots: the D plot and the K plot. As you have not specified which of these I've created a screenshot that shows this with the K plot selected in the Plot field.
Attached a screenshots of how this would look.
Also below is a link to a video tutorial on using the Strategy Wizard.

This is very close to what I am trying to do.
What would be the procedure be if I wanted to enter a short trade when the K and D cross over the 80 and enter a long trade when the K and D cross below the 20 ?
Would I just add the same condition for the K then say set 2 for the D cross so both would have to cross to enter a trade?
I mean the K cross would be set as set 1 and then the D cross set as set 2 so both conditions would have to be met to enter a trade ?
I think this is what DannyPark100 meant ?
Many thanksLast edited by fredfred123; 07-14-2017, 08:53 AM.

Hello fredfred123,
You would need to add two conditions to that condition set.
The first would select Stochastics on the left with the plot set to K, the operator in the center set to CrossAbove, and Misc -> Numeric value selected on the right -> with 80 as the value.
The second would select Stochastics on the left with the plot set to D, the operator in the center set to CrossAbove, and Misc -> Numeric value selected on the right -> with 80 as the value.
The action for that action set would be Order management -> Enter short position.
Then in a different condition set you would add two conditions.
The first would select Stochastics on the left with the plot set to K, the operator in the center set to CrossBelow, and Misc -> Numeric value selected on the right -> with 20 as the value.
The second would select Stochastics on the left with the plot set to D, the operator in the center set to CrossBelow, and Misc -> Numeric value selected on the right -> with 20 as the value.
The action for that action set would be Order management -> Enter long position.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service
