    Twitter Share Error

    Most of the time when using Share("Twitter", "Test"); from within my indicator I get error:

    Value Cannot be null. Parameter name: stringToEscape

    I can share via manual method most of the time (right click on chart -> Share)

    Fix is to log out of twitter share service and back in - though sometimes this doesn't even work.

    Running in Debug mode - the Share service is causing the exception on this line:

    sigParameters.Add("oauth_token=",Core.Globals.UrlE ncode(OAuth_Token) + "&");

    OAuth_Token is null.

    Somehow twitter authentication is timing our or something since this property is set during the authentication stage.

    Please advise if this is repeatable and / or a bug.

    Hi graham,

    Thanks for reporting the behavior. I'll do some testing with this and if I am able to reproduce I will submit a bug report to our development.

      Hello graham,

      I was able to reproduce some errors when testing 8.0.4.0, however, these appear to have been corrected in the latest version 8.0.5.1.

      Please update to 8.0.5.1 and test for the error once more.

        Twitter Share Error still in version 8.0.6.1

        Hi,
        I am still getting the error as "Value cannot be Null" when using the Twitter Share services.
        I am using version 8.0.6.1

        I notice that if i go and remove the twitter share service from Tools >> Options >> General >> Share Services.....and then again re-add and authenticate then i am not getting error. But, this can't be an idle way to do / share things.
        Please advise.

          Hello paragsatpute,

          Please update to the latest version and then test for the behavior once more.
          • Shutdown NinjaTrader
          • Download NinjaTrader from the link below
            http://ninjatrader.com/GetStarted
          • Double click the downloaded file to execute it
          • Follow the on screen instructions
          • Restart NinjaTrader


          As a heads up, I was not able to reproduce using the latest version.
