Playback- there is no market data available to drive the simulation engine

    Hi,

I have imported historical data for a custom symbol and I playback them with no issues. However for certain custom strategies when I hit F5 to refresh the script messages I get

Playback 101 - There is no market data available to drive the simulation engine. affected Order:Sell 100 Market.

p.s.: I have unchecked the Tools\Options\Market Data\ Get data from server.

any ideas on what I miss?

also the strategy works fine with no errors or messages after I start playback

    Hello tolisss,

    Thank you for your post.

I do not think you have missed anything based on your detail provided. Can you advise if you are playing back Historical data or Replay data?
In addition, please advise the source of the data being played back. For example, NinjaTrader Continuum or Kinetick.

I look forward to your response.

      Hi Patrick

From what I understand since the message comes when I hit F5 to refresh my strategy the problem is with Historical data as I use the PlaybackConnection

Now for your second question I do not know how to answer right, as I mentioned I use the playback connection on a custom symbol for which I have imported historical data. So I do not use any other data connection or provider I am just connected in the Playback connection

        Hello tolisss,

        Thank you for your patience.

Are you starting the playback at the beginning of the historical data? If you start it at least 20 bars into the data, does the error still occur?

I look forward to your response.
