    Elders Safe Zone Stopps

    Hi,

I've developed my first version of Alexander Elders SafeZone Stopps.
It's not fully tested. If you have any feedback you are welcome.

    It's developed for NT 6.5.

    regards Ali

            ESZstops

Found this posting this AM and looked interesting. Tweeked it to work in NT 7 (b.22) like real stops, so thought I'd put it back as FYI. Havn't tested it much.

Thank you for sharing your indicator. Do you have a version that is compatible with NT8? I am a beginner coder and need help converting this.

Attached is a quick conversion to NT8.0.17.2 of the original indicator in posts #1 and #6. I do not know of its usefulness or how it is used.

Elder's methods are outdated now, considering all the advances in analytical trading methods. However, If someone provide a description of what this indicator is supposed to do and how it is applied in real trading, I might be able to polish and add user friendly "bell and whistles."

                    Cheers!

thank you aligator, this indicates a simple way to put your stop loss order; elder tries to put in the calculation the noise of the trend, so you can put your stops over that level and ideally prevent to be cut out by noise.

Can you post a screenshot of a chart with markings that show where (and how) you may have entered a trade and placed your stop based on ESZ?

                        Cheers!

As I said before this is just an exit technique, based (in my trading) on a trend following entry.
I use a coef. 3, and you exit the trade when the price hit the trailing stop.
(I used a slightly different version, one where were displayed both hugh and low side of the stop at the same time)

                            alfonso,
I have a slightly different version of this indicator from another platform. My indicator can be customised according to the slope of the MA. It also uses 2 EMAs in the calculation (I use settings 55 & 34) see screenshot

If you want I can send you the code but unfortunately it is in Java script.
