ChartTrader problem

Hi,

I got frustrated with NT8's chart trader. It is so wide and I had to hide it when I'm watching multiple instrument. Once I'm in a trade I'd like to show it. But there is no hot key to do it quickly. I read in the beta forum some people proposed 1) give control for users to adjust width; 2) restore NT7's charttrader; 3) add hot keys to show/hide charttrader. It's been over a year since that thread was posted. Do we know which one of the three directions the development team is heading? Any ETA?

Thanks for the note.

There is no set hot key for showing chart trader, but you can add a hot key sequence of your own to show/hide chart trader.

To do this, go to Tools>Hot Keys>Chart and find the "show chart trader" option. Then, click on the box to begin recording your hot key combination and press enter to save it.

Now with the chart open and in focus, you can quickly show/hide the chart trader with this key combination.

Thanks for your reply. I have already done this. However, it switches between two states: 1) Off; 2) Chart Trader. When it's off, I can not place trades by right clicking on the chart. I want the third state "Chart Trader (Hidden)", so that I can still place trades when I hide Chart Trader to save space.
