Crude oil chart

Hello,

I am trying create multi-instruments chart, one of them is a stock, and one is the ^COMP, and the third one is the crude oil (CL).
However, both the stock and the ^COMP shown on the chart, but the crude oil chart shown as blank.

The only CL available is CL 07-17, and it shows blank on chart.
Also, I get my data from TD Ameritrade which is my broker.

Please help and let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks!

TD Ameritrade does not provide future contract data within NinjaTrader. You will not be able to get CL data using this connection,

Thanks for pointing out this.

However, when I was using the Thinkorswim platform, I will able to pull the data on chart for crude oil as "/CL". So why does it not able to pull the data to NinjaTrader?

Another question, I have is if it is the case that TD Ameritrade will not provide data for crude oil future, what are my options, change brokers or is there another alternative? Thanks for your support.

Thank you for the post.

TD Ameritrade will only support equities with NinjaTrader.

In order to trade futures you will need to use a supported futures brokerage. I've included a list of our supported futures brokerages below:

• NinjaTrader Brokerage
• Interactive Brokers
• MB Trading(NinjaTrader 7 only)

Hi Thomas,

I am not trying to trade Future. what I am trying to do is create a multi-instrument chart that contain one stock instrument, one index as ^COMP, and the crude oil future data. The ^COMP and crude oil only use as reference and taken into indicator to trade my stock.

The intention is not to trading on Futures.

So does this mean that I will need to go with a different broker? If yes, then which will support for stock trading but will provide data for futures such as crude oil and dollars?

Thank you for the post.

TD Ameritrade will not support futures data in the NinjaTrader platform. You will only be able to receive equities data when using TD Ameritrade.

Interactive Brokers will provide futures data and support equities trading.

If you are only looking to chart data then you could use a data-feed only provider such as Kinetick.
