Default Instrument List - where stored

Hello alda.pech,
Thanks for the post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums. Unfortunately there is no support for managing instruments and lists beyond using the instrument manager.
Most of the instrument definitions are stored in the database, which is not open. There are some components stored in C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader\db\Instruments.txt. We won't be able to help you work with this file, but you you're free to open and see if it can offer you shortcuts to working in the instrument manager.Ryan M.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Thank you for quick answer.
I need only read instrument list. I saw .sdf file and Instruments.txt file, but I didnt find this particular list. Maybe it is generated from more places.
I develop solution for retrieving orders generated in NT, through your AT Interface (via File) and this list could help me.
Edit: I found it in tables, not in any txt file :-(Last edited by alda.pech; 05-20-2011, 01:59 PM.

Hello KeenEdge,
Thank you for your response.
The file itself is the database .sdf file under Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db folder.
You could pull the instruments list in NinjaScript with the following code:
Code:NinjaTrader.Cbi.InstrumentList list1 = NinjaTrader.Cbi.InstrumentList.GetObject("Default");
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
