Trade Ideas Integration

Hello ,

I know how to connect trade ideas to Ninjatrader. I want to take this further and have Ninjatrader auto open charts alerted by Trade ideas. Is that possible?

There is no option for alerts to open charts automatically. There is no option to do this in NinjaScript either.

If you mean the market scanner product Trade-Ideas, there is no interface.

Otherwise, if by "alerted by trade ideas" you mean "alerted by trade signal detected by a NinjaScript strategy already running", then perhaps ...

First you can run a strategy with or without a chart window.

With chart window:
Open chart window, make sure chart trader is disabled,
right click inside panel, select "Strategies..."

Without chart window:
Open Control Center, click on Strategies tab,
right click inside panel, select "New Strategy..."

With some fancy programming, I'm sure you could try to have the strategy
running without a window to 'automate' the key presses to open a new
chart window from the control center.

Or, for strategies with a window, have the strategy automatically minimize
the chart window in OnStartUp, then restore the window after a position is
opened, minimizing the window again after the position exits.

Thank you for the reply. The only issue is, I would be limited to the number of stocks that I create the alert for. what I want is a program to analyze the whole market and spit out the stocks that meet my criteria.
