Continuum data issues?

    Continuum data issues?

    I'm on Ninjatrader with Continuum and while trading the ES on Friday I noticed that the 12-17 contract had a lot fewer bars than many others I know (I trade tick bars) - was there an outage, or other interruption or issue on Friday? My chart looks like 2/3 the size of my friends' on other data providers.

    Thanks for your post.

    I'd like to see your log and trace files. Please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email. Please note "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the response.

    You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

    The log file will be named "log.20170911.txt"

    You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

    The trace file will be named "trace.20170911.txt"

      Still haven't figured this one out. I deleted everything in tick and cache folders. Looks like whenever I load historical data it looks almost like an old contract with lower volume or something. Could the instrument itself be corrupted?

        It WAS the instrument that was corrupted somehow, and I think this goes back to Friday when we switched over to 12-17.

        I went to the Tools menu, selected the Options menu item, selected the Data tab, and then clicked on 'Reset Instruments'. Then clicked on "Repair DB". Then restarted NT. The chart looks right now, with expected number of bars for the 12-17 contract.

        I have heard of several other people running into this issue.

          Thanks for your reply.

          Please also make sure to upgrade to the latest release of the platform. To upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below.

          -First, get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader

          -Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect

          -Enter your license key and press Submit

          -Select 'NinjaTrader 7' if you are on NinjaTrader 7

          -Select 'NinjaTrader 8' if you are on NinjaTrader 8.

          -Select 'Download'

          -Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
