charts not preserved in a closed workspace?

    Hello katana,

    I will forward your feedback to address this issue to development.

    If you like to exit NinjaTrader via the Windows task bar, you can avoid the issue by selecting No when prompted to save your workspace. Assuming you saved the workspace earlier.

        It is now October 2017 and I am using NT8. This issue was brought up years ago! And it's still not fixed?

        I put a lot of work into my workspace and because NinjaTrader has to have the Control Center in a completely separate window (no other platform I know of does this), one mistake in closing the platform results in a loss of weeks/months of work!?!

        Come on!!!

        If you have to have this completely asinine configuration, how about putting in a failsafe; like automatically save the workspaces so we can restore them (like the recycle bin)?

        Is there nothing I can do? Is all that work lost? Does NinjaTrader care?

          Hello donstar,

          You can restore the workspace if you restart NinjaTrader and select No when prompted to save the workspaces.

          I suggest to create a backup file as well once you finished creating the workspace. That way you can always restore the backup file to restore the workspace.


          I will forward the suggestion to include such a failsafe to development to put it on the list of possible future enhancements. Thank you for your feedback.
