how to ask for general info

I've spent about 1.5 hours on an indicator (HeinkinAshi_smoothed)
which I downloaded at the forum. I'm trying to understand it. I can't.
I'm also hoping to change it to make it do what I want.

What type of questions are generally answered at the different forums?
Often I get "Please contact one of our sponsored programmers."

Should I ask really short questions? Sometimes searching to NT Pdf
file results in "O results". So...then I'm really stopped.

Support memebers answer questions regarding the platform and its default options. Included in this is assisting people with the NinjaScript language. If you have question regarding code, please post your code and ask a question. We can usually give you pointers.

I know I have seen this indicator around before. Try looking in the indicator sharing folder on this forum or searching the forum for what you want.

Thanks. Yes, I've now spent more than 2 hours on the program,
which I downloaded a number of days ago. I won't say I have a
question per line of code, but it's close to that.

I'll see if I have time to post at another section of the board eventually
on this matter. On the plus side, the code already works (hee hee).
