    Strategy Tester Strange Results

    Hi Guys,

I come from the MT4\5 platform, I've developed many EA's using MQL and C. I am trying out NT since I have heard a lot of good things about it.

Now lets say you invest 0.01 lots (1000 units) into a symbol\instrument and you lose that position (hit SL). Also lets say that you are 100% certain the next trade will be a winning trade, so you double up on the investment size, now you invest 0.02 lots (2000 units) into this (the next) trade. If you win this (the next) trade it means that you countered the first loss and made a profit by doubling up.

If you look at my screenshot, the strategy tester does not seem to show it that way. If I am missing something please guide me in the right direction.

    Thanks,
    Tyro

    Hello Tyro,

First, I recommend setting the drop-down at the top to Currency instead of Percent.

What is the behavior you feel is incorrect?

The quantities supplied you feel are correct?

There was a losing trade of 1000 quantity, a second losing trade of 2000 quantity, and then a winning trade of 4000 quantity.

Is the amount of profit incorrect for the winning trade #3?

What have you calculated the profit to be?
