    bug? Alerts are not send

    I made a template of alerts, if a drawing tool/line gets crossed above or below, it should play a sound, give me a pop-up and send me an email. All three do not happen.

    I had my alerts saved in the workspace, closed the program on the weekend and started up again on monday. It seems all my alerts are deactivated, (maybe by closing and restarting the platform?), althought they show as if they're activated.

    Newly set alerts work properly, it seems just the old ones don't work, those that are set before closing and saving and restarting.

    How can I activate them all again?

    Please fix this bug ASAP!

    For the older alerts, what is set as the "Rearm type"?

    Could you please post a screen shot of the complete Alerts window so I may test on my end?

      My rearm says Never, but that's only for the second time the price hits the line, isn't it?

        No, to clarify, this is when the Alert will rearm. When Never is in use, then the if the alert had triggered previously, this would be expected behavior. See the below section of our help guide for more information.

          yeah, so if the alerts are not triggered yet, and I close the platform and reopen it again, the alerts should still be activated right?

            That's correct, if the alert had not been triggered it should still show Enabled when saving the workspace, closing and restarting.

            To test, can you please create a new alert with Never set as the Rearm type and test for issue by restarting? I tested this on my end and the alert did show enabled upon restart.

              if the alert is set, where can I see if it's enabled or disabled? I just found out they're disabled because they didn't go off

                To check, right click on the chart > Alerts. Under General, there is an Enabled box with a check mark next to it when enabled.

                  I checked, but if I rightclick and go to alerts, even with a newly drawn line, there's a pop-up box for the conditions that pops up but behind it that enabled box is already checked, even when I click on cancel for conditions, so I didn't set any alert, that box is checked.

                    I just found an alert I had set, and missed, no mail was send, no pop-up seen and it wasn't checked.. so the system disabled it somehow

                      I suggest opening the New > "Alerts log" window in order to keep track if the alert has been triggered or not.

                      When clicking on a line and selecting the Alert option, what happens is NinjaTrader attempts to Configure a new alert, not just view old ones. To just view the alerts set on a chart without having to view conditions, right click > Alerts.

                        I have the alerts log open by default in my workspace, but they didn't show there either. The system disabled alerts, that's the problem

                          Thanks for confirming that, have you been able to test the issue when creating a new alert, saving the workspace, closing / restarting? Previously you were not sure how to distinguish if the alert was enabled or not.

                            I tried, so far so good, this one was good. So I don't know what it was that disabled the other alerts

                              Glad to hear it's working OK now, I'm unsure what would have disabled the alerts either outside of what we have discussed here. I plan to test this further on my end as well, feel free to post again here if it reoccurs.
