    Dsiplay data after hours

    Hi there,
    Am still unable to display data after hours. Am connected to IB and also Kinetick. Market Analyzer blank. Charts blank. How do I select the option to display data after hrs?:

    Hello Maisie,

    Thanks for writing in.

    Based on the time of day, I'd expect that this lack of data has something to do with session template.

    In the Chart:
    • Right click in your chart and select Data Series.
    • In the Data Series menu, set the "Session Template" property to "Default 24/7", then click OK.


    In the Market Analyzer:
    • Right click in your market analyzer window and selectProperties.
    • In the Properties menu, set the "Session Template" property to "Default 24/7", then click OK.

        Hello,

        Thank you for your post.

        What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About
        Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.
        What instrument have you selected?
        (For a chart) what interval is selected?
        Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center?

          Hi there,

          I have version 7.0 1000.9

          Tried many instruments...AAPL, AA.
          I've done many Market Analyzer scans with multiple instrument lists....and nothing.

          Charts used have been primarily Daily, but have used intraday as well.

          I log in after hours, usually in hte evening, to perform scans connected to End of Day data from Kinetick.

          I do not see any ERROR messages in LOg.

                In your note, please include:
                1.) A link to this thread.

                2.) A copy of today's trace file.
                You'll find this file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
                The file which I need would be named 'trace.20120419.txt'.

                  FYI...email sent per request.

                  In addition, connected IB and now have "some" data fields filled. Approx. 1/3 of fields fill with data.

                  How do I get near 100%?

                        Hello syldes,

                        Could it be Kyle sent you a private email to your forum account? Kyle is currently not in the office.

                        If I understand correctly, you do not load all data while connected to Kinetick EOD and IB. I suspect you connect to Kinetick EOD first and IB second. Does it make a difference if you reverse the connection sequence - connect first to IB and Kinetick second.

                        If the issue remains, could you please post a screenshot of a chart that displays the missing data.

                          No data with Kinetick eod free data.
                          Some data when IB connected as secondary after hours.
                          With approx 20 min remaining before open, data appears regardless of IB as primary or secondary.

                          But should I not have data appearing with Kinetick free eod data regardless??
                          That's what I want.

                            When connecting to Kinetick Free EOD within NinjaTrader this will give you access to End of Day Daily data which may be used to create Day, Week, Month and Year charts however this will not stream real time data within NinjaTrader.

                            In order to receveive real time data from Kinetick you would be required to subscribe to Kinetick at the link I have provided below:



                            Also when connected to just IB be sure you have a Session Template applied to the Market Analyzer window that will show all data by right clicking within the MA window-->Properties-->Session Template-->Set to "Default 24/7"-->Click Ok.

                              Am I not making it clear?

                              I am not looking for real time streaming data "after hours", nor during regular hours, I simply want to know if Kinetick should be supplying data in my filters for Market Analyzer.
                              When I want to screen my scan by price range, the price field is blank when connected to Kinetick, and not UNTIL I connect with IB do I see data in the filed.

                              Shouldn't Kinetick have this ability after hours when I have Session Template set for 24/7?
