    Latest TWS 872 ok with Latest Ninja 5?

    Hi,

    Have finally built my new uber machine and am installing everything again. Just wondering if the latest version of TWS, 871 runs OK with the latest Ninja 6.1000.2??

    Hi Antraman,

    Yes, you can use version 6.0.1000.2 with TWS 871. We just tested it and TWS connected within 5 seconds.

      Thanks for reply Vince. Actually I've installed 872.6, and am getting an error message:

      Login failed: IB Adapter MessageLoop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

      I could login on my laptop and get market data, but I have version 870 on that.

      I did a fresh install from the downloaded files of both Ninja and TWS tonight. Got all the .NET and MDAC and JRE stuff installed already as well...

          Hi,

          We have TWS 72.6 tested as well and it works. It could be that your configuration is not set up correctly. Can you take a look here and see if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted:

            Hi VInce, yeah I just checked, and seem to have all those settings entered correctly. I just copied them exactly as they were on my laptop to my new machine.

            I don't have any other applications open that would use the API that is mentioned at the bottom of the help page.

              I guess I'm getting confused here. Did you copy your account information from your laptop to your new machine? Is this what you mean?
              Have you also checked in TWS itself under Configure--> API. Do these setting match with the ones described in the IB connectivity link?

                yes, copied my account info across exactly.

                I also checked...ahh. I checked the config settings in my old machine, not the new one. Two screens and two keyboards had me confused...

                got it working now.
