    About millisecond in Time Log

    Hello,

I see that is possible to read the accurate time (with millisecond) in the ORDER TAB but not in other TABS.

I need accurate time in the LOG EVENTS.. is it possible?

    Many thanks.

    Hello ClauTrade,

    Thanks for your post.

There are no options to provide the log data in milliseconds. If you like I would be glad to submit a feature request to consider this for implementation. If a feature request already exists, your vote would be added to it.

Alternatively, or as a workaround, you can always export any tab to a spreadsheet readable format where you can provide a millisecond formatting to that time column.

      Thanks Paul, it work!

So, the info of ms is present in the data yet...only do not show it!

I have export in Excel and I have personalize the format of the column adding (000) after (ss) and it show millisecond. So I think is very fast and easy to add this futures in the column of the log tab of NT8!

Yes please I would like to submit the request. I think is useful in case of server test, VPS, latency...

      Many thanks.
      All the best!

        Hello ClauTrade,

        Thanks for your reply.

I will submit the feature request and will update this thread when I have further information.

Another option that will save you a couple of steps is to actually access the log file itself where you will find the time stamp is milliseconds. The (txt) log files can be found in Documents>NinjaTrader8>Log>

          Hello ClauTrade,

Just to close the loop, the feature request to show the log tab timestamps in milliseconds has previously been requested and has been assigned to SFT-1549, "Sort log by millisecond". As the feature request already exists, a vote has been added to it on your behalf.

Thanks for your input to improve NinjaTrader.

            Many Thanks Paul!

Yes, perfect, in the file log there are the ms time stamp! Great!

Anyway I would like to ask you something more about.

At moment only the Order Tab show millisecond on NT8, but I have seen that the ms values are not the same of the LOG.

Example, look here: the Orders tab show the fill of one order (2 contract). The log show the 5 step of the order (from the click to the fill) but the ms. values are different.

            Do you know why?

            Thanks. Regards.
            Clau
