MA of indicator.

How do I plot the MA of the Volume Indicator on the same window as the Volume Indicator?

Hello Trader17,

Thank you for posting in our forum. In order to get the VOLMA indicator to plot in the same panel as the VOL indicator, please make sure they are set to the same panel.

Right click in your chart window and select Indicators. Next, check which panel your VOL indicator is in, and then set your VOLMA indicator to the same panel number. When finished, click OK.

Thank you for your reply. Adding a regular MA, or "SMA" as it is called in NinjaTrader 8, would be a similar process. The only difference would be changing the input series for the SMA indicator to the VOL indicator.

-Right click within your chart and select Indicators
-Add both your VOL indicator and SMA indicator
-Within the parameters for the SMA indicator click Edit Input while hovering over the current input series
-In the Available section to the left, double-click the Indicators folder, then scroll down until you reach the VOL indicator
-Select the VOL indicator, then click OK, and OK on the Indicators window

I realized I forgot a step in my instructions below. The panel for the SMA indicator must also be set to the same panel as the VOL indicator.
