    Chart freez. Not responding. IB.

    Hello,
    I've got a problem with charts freezing with IB connection FX.
    I'm in the position. Then my charts and NT8 are not responding. I even can not reload data EURUS. All latest releases of TW and NT8.
    What to do?
    I even can not close NT8 without Alt+Ctl+Dlt...
    Now just going back to NT7 for a while.

    Thank you for your post,

    So we can further diagnose your system, can you please let us know if you see the same when launched in Safe Mode?

    Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:

    Loading workspaces.
    Connecting on start-up.
    Loading custom assemblies.
    Getting instrument updates from the server.

    To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:

    Exit NinjaTrader.
    Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
    Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
    You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.

    Try opening a chart via the New menu. Next, open a sim position or if the live position is still held, try switching the Account menu to your live account and monitor the performance.

    Let me know the behavior you see with these steps.

      OK. I've made what you suggested.
      Waiting. But last time, before the freez, I had traded fine for 2 hours before the freez happened.
      How long should I wait to catch a bug for?
      I want to trade, not catching the bugs.

        I don't worry till NT7 works fine for me.
        Waiting for a new NT8 update.
        P.S.
        Is it possible to add Diff Indicator (as at Trade Station) getting the difference between 2 instruments as a data on a chart? (Index 1 minus Index 2 = Diff Indicator number) into NT8?

          Or a kind of Sum Indicator, able to use:
          Indicator 1 + Indicator 2 = or
          (Indicator 1 + (-Indicator 2) =

            Thank you for your reply,

            If you go to the Control Center's Log tab, are there any errors, and if so what do they report?

            I suggest replicating anything you can recall that occurred prior to the freezing last time. Launching in Safe Mode removes custom items from the startup process, so allows us to rule out their being the cause of the freezing and see if a bug is present. Unfortunately, if this is only occuring intermittently without error, testing the situation would be the only method to try and find the cause.

            Feel free to also write in with your log and trace files so I may see if there any errors in the meantime. Please write into to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com along with your log and trace files and a link to this forum post.

            Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

            * Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
            * Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
            * Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
            * Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

            It is possible to plot spread or difference between two instruments via custom programing.

                  When I try to close NT8 and then restart, the massage that NT running appears.
                  Can only AltCtrDlt with finding Ninjatrader somewhere downside to get rid off
