Damiani Volatmeter Gives Wierd Results

Today I noticed that when I use the Damiani Volatmeter posted in this forum, that when the noise indicator gets smaller (below the trending indicator, which implies a trending condition), that it eventually reaches a point (near zero) when it for some reason increases in value to a number that looks like the price point of the instrument that I am running the indicator on. Here are my parameters:

Noise Threshold: 1.9
SED ATR: 30
SED STD: 98
VIS ATR: 9
VIS STD: 20
Avetype: HMA.

I was using it on 5 minute bars of ES 9-15.

It obviously is having a problem at low noise levels and something is diverging. I does seem to return the instrument value (i.e., the value of the bar close of the underlying instrument on the 5 minute chart). Of course, the condition should be trending (trending value greater than noise) but the indicator is returning the opposite.

Before I crack open the code, does anyone have a fix?

Would you mind to tell me where you found the Damiani Volatmeter for NT8? I would like to try it out myself. Or you have any recommendations to what to replace this indicator with ? Thanks Best Regards.
