    historical data lost

    RC2

The historical data, which is loaded after the initial connect, gets lost when switching to a different instrument. The number of items displayed in the Historical Data window is still correct.

    YM 12-16 -> ES 12-16 -> YM 12-16

I added the line in the image between Nov 2 und Nov 3, almost the complete Nov 2 is lost.

Importing the historical data manually fixes the charts.

Connection ist Interactive Brokers, Timezone is central european.

    Hello mithnadril

    Thank you for your post,

Based on what you're describing, the historical data may be disabled on the connection. To check, go to Tools > Options > Market Data > check the box next to "Get data from server."

Also, please make sure you have downloaded the correct version of TWS and have configured it correctly for use with NinjaTrader 8.

I checked all as you suggested. The connection was correctly imported from the NT 7 installation.

TWS 954 is used, I downloaded it directly from the connection guide.

The "get data from server" in the Tools / Options / Market Data is also checked.

When I restarted TWS ans NinjaTrader 8, a glitch occured which I also had occasionally in Ninja Trader 7. Unfortunately without any error message, unlike NT 7. The result was, that the parallel loaded data were assigned to the the wrong instrument. (FDAX data in ES, EUR/USD in FDAX, etc...) . Importing historical data from the import dialog did not work at all. There was no reaction on clicking "Download", I had to restart ninja trader.

        Hello mithnadril,
        Thank you for your reply,

To test, please reset your instruments.

Disconnect from any active datafeed: Navigate to the Control Center > Connections menu, left-click the ‘disconnect’ button that appears to the right of any active connection.
Reset your instruments: Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Database window, left-click to expand the ‘Update instrument lists’ section, ensure ‘Predefined instrument lists’ is checked, then left-click the Update button that appears just to the right of the two options in this section.
        Restart NinjaTrader.

Let me know if you see the same after taking these steps.
