NT is multi-threaded?

I've read assertions on these forums that NT 6.5 is multi-threaded, however when running multiple charts on the same instrument I am getting a situation where one of my CPUs is being hit hard at near 100% utilization (I am running with "update on bar close" set to false), while the other 3 are idle (I have a quad-core i7 920).

My CPU is fairly powerful and can probably handle the load, but still, I'd like to see it taking advantage of all 4 cores. Is this program actually fully multi-threaded, and if not, will NT 7 take advantage of all 4 cores when it is released?

Hi JS999, NinjaTrader 6.5 supports running multiple threads internally (managed by Windows), however it is not optimized to take full advantage. NinjaTrader 7 will be optimized in this respect and make full use of the available cores.

Hi JS999, not sure where this was stated, but NinjaTrader 6.5 does not support multicore cpu's natively - NinjaTrader 7 will support and take advantage of those.
