    Addional dataseries CL in script

    Hello,

when I use in my code "Add("$USOIL",PeriodType.Range,4);" (from fxcm) it works correct in my indicators and scripts. When I do "Add("CL 08-17", PeriodType.Range, 4);" then the panel is empty. What might be the reason for this? How is the correct syntax to add CL please?

    Thank you!
    Tony

    Hello tonynt,

    Thanks for opening the thread.

Your syntax is fine. If you are connecting with FXCM, it would not be expected to be able to receive futures data since FXCM is FOREX only.

For more information on our supported providers and the data they offer, please refer to the documentation page here: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...y_provider.htm

      Hello Jim,

sorry, I didn't write that I'm connected with continuum. Of course I can not expect to receive futures data from fxcm. I mentioned fxcm to show that it works with USOIL.

        Hello Tony,

Thanks for clearing that up, that will certainly make a difference.

Did you see any errors in the log tab of the Control Center?

Are you able to receive real time data on a chart with CL 08-17?

The next troubleshooting step we should take should be to reset the instruments in case there is an issue with the CL instrument.

To reset your instruments please follow the steps below.
        • Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed.
        • Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK.
        • Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection.

These steps are most effective after closing and reopening NinjaTrader 7.

I have attached a simple indicator that we can test. If you encounter the issue on this script while taking the steps above, could you tell me more about the chart's data series that you attach the indicator to?

I look forward to assisting you further.
