Which exchange is for Pinksheets in the exchange list?

    I only see OTCBB listed.

    Hello richwaters,

    Thank you for your post.

    Unfortunately, I'm not following.

Which instrument are you looking for?
Which data provider are you using with NinjaTrader?

In the Instrument Manager... I am having to change the settings for some penny stocks. For example, I am trying to set the exchange for CDIV. I cannot find Pinksheets listed as one of the exchange options. I can see OtcBB, but not Pinksheets.

      I use IQFeed.

        Hi,

You can set the exchange for those stocks within the symbol mapping when creating the instrument. As an example for IQFeed please input the symbol as CDIV.PK. You can refer to the following link for more information.

Once you set the symbol mapping then within NinjaTrader you would set the exchange as Default.

However, based on the IQFeed information I am seeing the exchange you would use would be OTCBB, since as I understand Pink Sheets iscontained within that general exchange.

I tried entering one that I use often, CDIV, as CDIV.PK while connected to IQFeed. NinjaTrader gave me the message that it is an invalid instrument name. I tried creating my own Master Instrument as CDIV.PK, and it didn't work. I am using the NinjaTrader Beta 15 version.

Please enter CDIV.PK as symbol map under the Misc-tab next to IQFeed. I suggest to enter CDIV as master instrument name.

Enable the Default and/or OTCBB exchange and check if you receive data.

I spoke with IQFeed tech support. I am going to drop this issue for now as I am not happy that IQFeed keeps the Bid/Ask data separate from the trade data for Pinksheets stocks. I see this as their problem since they are two separate feeds as far as IQFeed data is concerned, which I did not know. I may look for a different data provider at some point. Thanks for your help with this.
