IOC and BOC order type support

    Hi,

I saw this request for IOC order support in the NT8 beta archive: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ad.php?t=86385

Please add my vote to SFT-1489. While not terribly important, I feel that support for advanced exchange-provided order types will bring NT8 further along the road towards a truly professional trading platform. Specifically, I'd like to see support for Eurex IOC (immediate-or-cancel) and BOC (book-or-cancel) order types.

    Thank you,
    Stefan.

Hi, just wanted to reiterate that having support for IOC limit orders would be a welcome extension to NT8's capabilities. TT platform has them, in case that's a valid argument for product management or sales.

Hello Patrick, quick question: has IOC order been implemented, I cannot find the reference to it? Thank you.

            Hello TheorPhys,

            Thank you for your reply.

The current status of SFT-1489 is open and we're still assessing interest. It has not been implemented yet.

When a feature request is implemented, you'll find it in the release notes:

Then please add one more interested party as IOC is very important and this is what may be a decisive factor to continue with your platform. Thank you.

Any updates on implementing these TimeInForce types? Majority of robust trading platforms have them. Are there any known connection adapters that currently support IOC or FoK?
If not, please add my vote. Thank you.

Wow, not having Fill or Kill is a major deficit in funtionality. It is very common trading stocks and Futures. I also use TradeStation, it has that feature.

My guess is the brokerage (NinjaTrader Continuum) does not have this feature built in ... which of the other brokerages supported by NinjaTrader?

Without this, strategy coding becomes very complex very quickly.

Wowser, the feature has been requested as far as 2015 ... just google "All or None Ninjatrader"

                      Thanks, Caesar.

                        Hello Caesar,

                        Thanks for your note.

Your vote has been added to this feature request for the support of IOC/BOC orders in NInjaTrader. This request is being tracked under the number SFT-1489.

Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black and white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:
                        • Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
                        • Feasibility
                        • Developer bandwidth
                        • Current projects in the queue
                        • Economics

You'll find a note regarding your feature request in the release notes when a feature is implemented.

Let me know if I may assist further.
