NT 7.0.1000.4 64bit error on start up - but 32bit runs

OS: Win 7 64bit, SP1

NinjaTrader version 7.0.1000.4 64bit error on start up:




But the 32bit version runs fine.

Note: version 7.0.1000.3 beta, 64bit ran fine with SP1.

What dos this error mean and what sort of fix should I employ?

Regarding that issue it appears related to the database but I will want to review your log and trace diagnostic files for a precise cause of the issue.

Can you please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and please reference this thread, and include your log and trace diagnostic files.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

• The log file will be named ‘log.YYYYMMDD.txt’

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

• The trace file will be named ‘trace.YYYYMMDD.txt’

You know what? I figured it out. Yay!

I installed Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 32 and 64-bit. (32 bit has to be installed first.)

Don't know how this particular computer didn't have it installed. My other 4 computers which run NT7.0.1000.4 have no issues with the 64bit version. Yet, they don't have SQL 3.5 SP2 listed as installed.

Interestingly enough, you can subsequently uninstall Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 32 and 64-bit, reboot, and NT x64 runs fine.

Thanks for that additional clarification, and I would recommend that we do not uninstall this SQL CE application because it might explain the initial issue in that the application was working prior to upgrade, and then no longer working after the upgrade.
