AtmStrategyCreate() parameters generated dynamically?

I have a strategy that computes entry price & stop loss exit price. I'd like to keep my overall risk at a fixed amount by computing the order quantity based upon the number of ticks between the entry price and the stop loss exit price and the risk per tick.

Can I somehow dynamically create an ATM with strategy computed parameters such as order quantity, 1 target quantity, 1 target stop loss, 1 target profit target 1, (i.e. fields from the ATM screen on Dynamic Super DOM) so that I can enter an order with my imputed quantity amount to achieve this objective?

If not, and I do it with EnterLongStop(), SetStopLoss(), SetTrailStop(),etc, can I then dynamically modify these strategy created orders in the Dynamic Super Dom screen?

If the answer to both is no, then please take this as a suggestion to extend AtmStrategyCreate() to expose the ATM fields.

Lastly, when ATM templates are saved, where are they put? Could I access this in the file system or in the sdf file to place a strategy there and then call it by reference?

richtobey, unfortunately what you wish to do is not possible. The ATM strategy must already exist in the database before it is called. I will forward this on as a suggestion.

Hi,

I'd like to follow up on this and see if this feature has been added. If not, I second the motion to make sure this is part of NT8.

When looking at the AtmStrategyCreate() parameters it seems that all of the major options can be set dynamically EXCEPT Order qty. This makes the use of ATM in my FOREX strategies useless for all practical purposes.

This feature has not been added to the recent updates to NinjaTrader 7.

However, I will add your vote to add this feature for development to consider for NinjaTrader 8.
