Problem importing NinjaScript

Hi,

Have a problem importing a NinjaScript. I had it working on V6.5 fine, upgraded to V7.0 and had to get a new file from the code writer. So, I try to import it into V7 and it comes up with the following message....

Import failed. The NinjaScript file may contain method names that already exist on your PC or there is a required fule missing on either your PC or in the import archive.

Any ideas ?

Some file remains left from 6.5 or something stopping this import into v7 ?

Without seeing the code, that one may be impossible to resolve. It almost sounds as if a method in the file has been declared as public.

First step would be ensuring your present files are in compilable state, to test open any script and press F5 - does this work out with no issue?

Next then please install the script from the author manually into the bin > custom > indicator folder and recompile your NinjaScripts then again - would you now see the offending method listed at the bottom and can take care.

> manual install means the 'raw' cs type file will need to be copied into the MyDocuments > NinjaTrader 7 > bin > custom > indicator folder...then follow as below

Just for your information, I just looked at this, and there is no "indicator folder" inside the "custom" folder.. Inside bin>custom there are only two folders, Backup and Snippet

Maybe part of the problem ?

Then you're not looking into the correct parent folder - this is not in the install folder on C: - but in the user data directory, the MyDocuments in Windows.
