Can this be added for consideration please? IB is issuing a ton of bulletin messages lately and it's quite disruptive when NT pops them up.

        Hi,

I will forward your request to development and ask them if they can add this to the list of future considerations.

I also wish there were a way to suppress IB bulletins in NT. The way things are now, I am forced to read each bulletin twice: once in TWS, once in NT. Considering that the overwhelming majority of these bulletins are absolutely irrelevant to me, these NT popups are really quite redundant, superfluous, and annoying. Please let me disable them. Thank you.

I agree, lately been a real problem, like Tuesday I think there were about 6 or 7 bulletins in just four hours.

              Hi,

I can only further this request. Having bulletins popup, more than once per bulletin, directly in the middle of the screen is distracting, irritating, and has the potential to cause me significant loss if I were to be using chart trader at the time.

Without being rude, it is more than a little invasive to forcefully implement a feature such as a popup modal-dialog that take precedence over other windows, and that is triggered via an API - where the host application does not even use popups.

Surely it would be less than a few hours work to implement a simple boolean switch around the code used to detect / display API messages?

EDIT: I might add, that I have seen 5 identical bulletin-popups since writing this, and all of them have stolen focus from my web browser as I am typing... I think the term 'invasive' is actually an understatement..

Also - a quick glance at the IB API reference gives me the following functions:

              - void reqNewsBulletins(bool allMsgs)

              - cancelNewsBulletins()

...therefore I can only assume that the NinjaTrader code for the IB API, implements the above functions, and specifically calls reqNewsBulletins(true)....

Please can we have a checkbox to set this value ourselves??

Go to the NinjaTrader.com support Help Guides page and read (NinjaTrader Connection Guide for Interactive Brokers). Take note of paragraph 11 where it notes (Run-time pop up handling: Enables NinjaTrader to suppress TWS pop up windows) and make sure that box is checked.

                    Bulletins still poping up

Even though I have in my connection settings "Run-time pop up handling" checked I still get some popup bulletins from IB (see attachments).

Is there any way how to disable those popus altogether?

                      Hello haselhof,

Unfortunately there are no other settings in the NinjaTrader platform to surpress TWS pop up windows.

What TWS version do you have installed? You can check this at Help-->About TradersWorkStation in TWS.

Thank you for prompt response Jason.

I have v952.2 installed which is the most recent stable version. I wouldn't mind turning bulletins off even in TWS if that was possible. None-the-less I think NT should have an option not to force bulletins to the front of your screen.

Maybe some flashing row in NT Control Center or sound notification would be enough.

Please note that we currently only support TWS 944.3 for NinjaTrader 7 as per the IB connection guide below. You can download it from the connection guide.
