Chart space on right

Hi NT,

Somtimes on my chart, the far right doesnt shows the latest candle, i need to manually scroll my chart to the left to see it appear.

Is there way to ensure there is always a small space on the right hand side between the last candle and the endge of the chart ?

Setting the Right Side Margin doesn't really address akvevo's issue. All that Right Side Margin does is move the right edge of the chart - it doesn't help you visually see that you're on the last bar of the chart by leaving space, as the space remains there whether you're on the last bar or not. For TradeStation users, this is how it's clear that you're not scrolled to the last bar. In NT, you must use the right and left arrows that appear near the top right of the chart to know you're not on the last bar (and of course, the datetime of the current bar). It would be preferable to only show that right-side margin when it's truly the last bar. This would make it more obvious that you're not scrolled all the way to the last bar.

That's correct - If the horizontal axis is scrolled to the left or right from its starting location, a "return" icon will appear in the top right hand corner of the chart. Left mouse click on the icon to return the horizontal axis to view the last "live" data on the chart:



Perhaps I am not understanding what you would prefer to visually occur when you state "only show that right-side margin when it's truly the last bar". The default right-side margin is 8 (pixels). What would occur to that margin in your suggestion?

Hazarding a guess here, if drag chart to right so not on last bar it ‘collapses’ the margin so last visible bar is up against vertical axis line, giving you obvious signal you have bars hidden (without needing to notice arrow, which isn’t in your line of sight).
