Pats/NT: Globex STOP orders as simulated stop only?

Globex reject STOP orders;
when NT/PATS send the command

SetStopLoss (simulated FALSE!)

I see this error:

Rejected: Combination order type 'Stop' and time-in-force 'Day' not supported by exchange 'Globex'

What to do ? I have to use SetStopLoss (simulated TRUE)
or someone can suggets me another solution?

Any idea?

Can you kindly let me how NT manage this situation:

my strategy send an OCO order and one leg of the OCO (the buy stop for example) fail because rejected by exchange (not important why)

The second leg (buy limit) fail too?

It appear that, in this limit situation, NT generate BUY MARKET oders

probably attempts to manage the wrong situation?

Hi gbulle, when a strategy sent order is rejected, the strategy is terminated and it will attempt to close open positions and cancel working orders.

Also might try TIF of GTC instead of Day.

it appear that it is not a time-in-force issue; the problem
is that a true STOP does not work on GLOBEX (I have verified GTD and GTC not TIF).

For GLOBEX X-Trader (TT) has STOPLIMIT and STOPMARKET orders (STOPs trasformed by TT Servers when triggered into LIMIT or MARKET oders)

For GLOBEX J-TRADER has a SIMULATED STOP too (stop!)

but it appear that the NT/Pats driver sent a true stop and the GLOBEX reject the order

I am now testing NT SIMULATED stop....

gbulle, did you try a StopLimit order? This should be supported natively.

I will do; I have to change the logic of the strategy I suppose
because I cannot put ExitLongStopLimit into
Initialize() just as SetStopLoss? Right?

Correct, you would need to work in the ExitLongStopLimit / ExitShortStopLimit commands in the OnBarUpdate section of your strategy.

yesterday a STOP order on GLOBEX was not working using PatsSystem.

today my broker have moved my account to a different server and now
my STOP order on GLOBEX works fine.


So the true problem is not a NT side and not at Pats side BUT at BROKER side!!!
