contacting Jessica, the webinar lady
Just attended weekly webinar on NT 8 with Jessica. She posted a link in the room and a way to contact her regarding how to set up an instrument list so it looks and acts like the instrument manager in NT 7, but unfortunately the room closed down before I could copy/paste the link she put into the room. How do I contact Jessica and get that info she presented?

Hello Tasuki, and thank you for attending our New Features training webinar. You can contact me here on the forums or via e-mail to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with Attn:NinjaTrader_JessicaP in the subject line.
I have prepared the videos I mentioned showing how to set up a default instrument list in NT8 with old contract front months in it. Please let us know if there are any other ways we can help.

Anyway, I'll review both videos and try to come up with better questions than "why the hell did you ruin a perfectly good instrument manager?"
One question that comes to mind right now is, What is the difference between "instruments" and "instrument lists"? From a previous webinar, it seemed to me that one of these two was badly mis-named, that it should be called something else.
Here's a related question: "instruments" is a list of instruments. "instrument lists" is also a list of instruments, just in a slightly different format. What the heck is the difference between them?

I am preparing another video where I work with NT7 and NT8 side by side with a one-to-one mapping as far as setting up the default instrument list.
In the meantime, I have submitted a feature request to the product management team for the following feature :
This customer would like to have more traditional Instrument Manager controls in the Instrument Lists section, especially the ability to add expired contract futures to instrument listsI will follow up with more information as soon as it's available. If the feature requests already exists, a vote will be added to it.
Please let us know if there are any other ways we can help.Jessica P.NinjaTrader Customer Service
