Thank you for also making it free, open and asking others to contribute. I never really liked the idea of paying a subscription for an indicator that only changes 4 times a month...

Well from my point of view, I just need to get the indicator working properly before I can discuss implementation into a strategy.

Here are a few COT related ideas I have:

-Find the best currency pair to trade, by looking at the COT data and selecting the currency the large specs are most long of and short of.

-Look at the COT data for the major stock indicies (Dow S&P) and use it to guage 'risk' appetite which may help predict future movement in the carry trade currency crosses like EUR/JPY and vise versa.

-Make a new indicator that loads multiple data COT data plots and combines them in ways that are believed to be correlated (Larry Williams likely has some good ideas in this area).

-Add/Subtract/multiply/divide the COT ratio with other indicators to have the advantage of faster moving data while still incorporating the more 'static' COT information.

Excellent work may I make a suggestion on your marketing

If you wish to sell your indicator to receive some payback for the work you have put in, I would suggest that you give prospective purchasers more information Such as

1) A trial period for the completed indicator

2) Is the payment a one off

3) Will updates be included, is there any support etc

4) Will users have to pay again for every machine it is put on

etc

Hello MicroAL,

no plans for a trial period...
payment is one off, and the license is valid per computer.
updates of the software are done collecting users feedback.
If you look through my posts in this forum you will see that I have always been competent and diligent at putting things to work. Don't worry for updates.

I also updated the COTReport for NinjaTrader 7, existing users can re-download it for free.

Some changes were done to take into account the reorganization of COT data by cftc.gov
