Data Series won't Display overnight data with 6 Range Type

    Hello,
I've set up a 6 Range chart with the correct session template. See attached picture. Chart starts at around 9 o'clock my time. This must be wrong, cause other prgms like Multicharts etc. shows the full time range of data.

    How can I solve that?

    Thanks

Btw, I have the same display issues with all other instruments like 6E (EUR) .... It is Range related. I can chose 6 , 12 or 25 Range chart does not display overnight data.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your post.

To retrieve 24/7 data on a chart, please follow the directions below.
    • Right click in your chart and select Data Series.
    • In the Data Series menu, set the "Session Template" property to "Default 24/7", then click OK.

Let me know if this corrects your issue.

        Hi,

Can you send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com and refer to this post.

        Then include:
        - Who you're connected to
        - What version you are using, V6.5.1000.19 or V7.0.1000.3. You can check under Help--> About.

            Hi

I may have a similar issue since updating to V7.0.1000.3.

I have about 24 hours of data missing on range and tick charts, connected to Zen-Fire.
It appears that any data from when I logged on yesterday to when I logged on today is missing.

Re-load Historical Data is greyed out, so I cannot refresh that way.

EDIT: have been able to fill in the missing data by connecting to IQFeed. So, I guess it would be a Zen-Fire issue.

I am in contact with NT support. This happens with IB also. I am running both IB and Zen-Fire.

                  Hello Trader108,

Please see the response I just sent you by email below.

Please note that IB does not support historical tick data. Range data is built by tick data, so you will not be able to load any historical range data from IB.

Zen-Fire does provide historical tick data. When I create a 6 range chart for the CL 03-11 on my end while connected to Zen-Fire, I display the chart in the attached screenshot. My PC clock is set to US Mountain time.

Can you please right click in the CL chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data'. Does it load the missing data?

If you cannot select 'Reload All Historical Data', please check if historical data is enabled for your Zen-Fire connection. Please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Account Connections, highlight your Zen-Fire connection and click Change. Make sure historical data is enabled.

Subsequently create a new chart and check if the issue remains.

In addition, please note that range bars are not bound by time. A new range bar is created once the market trades outside the current range. If the market trades in the same range for hours, you will only see 1 range bar for those hours.

@FatCanary, I am able to load historical range data while connected to Zen-Fire. Since you mention that 'Reload All Historical Data' is greyed out, it indicates that historical data is not enabled for your Zen-Fire connection. Can you please check your Zen-Fire connection as per the instructions above.

                    Hi Jason

Yes, Historical Data is enabled. I have changed nothing except for updating to V7.0.1000.3.
All was working fine with V7.0.1000.2.

Can you please try a disconnect/re-connect with Zen-Fire and check if you can reload historical data.

The historical data is present with Zen-Fire as well. Since you could not reload historical data, it indicates you were not connected to the historical data server.

A re-connection should re-connect you to the historical data server.

A re-connect did not solve the problem, but an NT restart did.

                        All appears fine now, thanks.
